- Director of the Computing Laboratory at the University of Kent, which is the Computer Science department for the university, with bases in Canterbury and Medway. The department has a strong reputation for employability of its students, based on its well-established sandwich placements programme, taken by the majority of students. We also allow students to work as consultants to local businesses in the Kent IT Clinic, based in the department. The department also hosts the BlueJ and greenfoot systems which support innovative learning of programming in Java.
