I spoke yesterday about our workshop programme. These are very effective at making young people understand careers in IT (so will inspire them to want to do the Diploma in IT) and are a great way for employers to work with schools. We have a number of employers already offering to host again but are always looking for more. And of course we need to hear from schools who want to participate.

The dates for the next two terms are attached together with some further briefing for employers and schools.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you're either interested in hosting (as an employer) or want to participate (schools in the South East) and we'll do the rest.

I’d just like to welcome you to this site.

You will of course have plenty of opportunity to network at the conference but this has been produced to provide you with an opportunity to make contact with each other now. Whether that’s pleading for advice from others, or employers and educators linking together. The site is yours and we’ll be really interested to see if you find it helpful.

I think that you’ll find the conference a very different experience from any conference you’ve been to before. Apart from being hosted in such a great location (huge thanks to Channel 4) you should find that it’s buzzing with an energy you only normal find at the coffee breaks.

This conference is very popular, and we are tight on places so please let us know if you can no longer attend so that we can assign your place to someone else.

I look forward to meeting you (again in many cases) on 3rd July.
