I am a scientist by training and a people and project manager through experience. While attempting to design innovate products and develop innovative teams in businesses of all sizes, I've learned little, retaining a blind enthusiasm and drive towards change, developing people and networks of people. I currently manage the first Scotland-wide programme of innovation projects called Innovative Actions, focused on developing the innovation performance of SMEs, total value £4M, half of which is provided by the EU. I also contribute as an international "expert" to regional innovation strategy programmes in Poland and Lithuania and believe strongly in sharing rather than telling.
